WE HIKED OUR ARSES ALL THE WAY OVER TO THE SNOOTY FOX IN WAKEFIELD ON WED 1st MARCH TO ATTEND AN OPEN MIC NIGHT

this is a great venue with its own PA system (bloody huge) and an amazing lights/laser rig
.
we were second on after a bunch of schoolkids who tried really hard to be like the arctic monkeys
bless 'em
.
our choice of songs went down realy well with the mainly rock audience

the snooty also offers a dvd recording service which we will try next time

ROCK LEGACY finished the night of with a brilliant hour long set which they are to release on dvd
.

these guys are a brilliant rock covers band who play just about everything you can think of and put on a great show

also there was steve who runs the Rock of the North website , this is a site dedicated to rock and blues bands in the north , it is updated daily and has a great list of venues and links to bands (sending ours over today) plus a local giglist , and we even get a mention from this gig -

'Two bands who jammed and shone were Bad Penny and Gypsy. Gypsy need no introduction and played Whisky in the Jar and two original songs more than just competently. The other band I was impressed with was Bad Penny who played The Seeker by The Who, Continental Op by Rory Gallagher, and a Gary Moore style Walkin'By Myself'
